Maxthon rolled out a new beta release for their browser, one that brings to the table important features, GPU acceleration being at the top of the list.

Hardware accelerated browsing is now available in Ultra Mode, while Retro Mode integrates URL ad blocking and a pop-up blocking mechanism.

Maxthon Browser 4.1.0.600 beta also includes improvements and fixes, touching on the loading speed for the Quick Access page, and enhancing the display method of tab list and privacy policy for cookies.

Furthermore, the fresh revision addresses several issues experienced by users when adding favorite links, accessing the right-click menu in Download Manager, or with the synchronization feature, which failed to work when switching to a different account.

Some issues regarding the WebKit core have also been eliminated. These refer to continuous refresh of a page where the context menu popped up, failure to upload files to Google Cloud, or lack of response on some pages. The full list of repairs and changes is available here.

Maxthon Browser is available for download from this link; it is also available in portable form.
