According to the release notes published for the latest release of Metrotube, the future builds are very likely to include playlist support and dedicated options to pin authors to the Start Screen and thus easily access the latest clips uploaded by the users you follow.
Last but not least, the new Metrotube version will come with preloading videos options for offline content, which basically means that users would be allowed to access clips while online and view them after disconnecting from the Internet.
