As you probably remember, Microsoft offered TechEd North America 2013 attendees the chance to purchase a Surface RT at a special price, thus making sure that all developers got a device for testing the company’s latest products.
A similar promotion was announced for those who visit the Australian edition of TechEd, but as compared to North America, the company has prepared a less appealing discount.
While Americans could purchase the Surface RT for no more than $99 (€75), Australians need to spend as much as $299 (€225) for the same device featuring 64GB of storage space.
Word is that the company is actually using these discounts to clear out Surface RT inventories in anticipation of the second-generation unit expected to go on sale sometime this year and supposed to include an 8-inch model too.
