Despite being a flagship, Lumia 930 is experiencing all kind of issues, and the latest problem that showed up on a number of units is a weird screen discoloration that turns black backgrounds to some sort of green all of a sudden.

At this point, it's not very clear what the cause of the problem actually is and how we might try to address it, but one of our test units started experiencing the very same bug after deploying the latest Preview for Developers update released by Microsoft.

The company has, however, confirmed in a series of tweets that a fix for Lumia 930 is on its way, so this bug should no longer exist after deploying it.

“We have been made aware of an issue where the displays on a limited number of Lumia 930 units are exhibiting discolourations. This phenomenon is due to the performance of the display in certain brightness conditions. However, we have identified the root cause and are currently working on a software update that will deliver improvements,” the company said.

This isn't the first time that the Lumia 930 is experiencing issues with color tinting, so it appears that the AMOLED display really gives headaches to both Microsoft and its users.

And to remind you, this AMOLED screen is basically the main reason behind the lack of Glance Screen on Lumia 930, a feature that allows users to stay updated with emails, missed calls, messages, and other info without the need to unlock the phone.
