Microsoft has just announced a brand new tech conference that will take place next year in May and will include information on basically all company products, including Lync, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Project, SharePoint, SQL Server, System Center, Visio, Visual Studio, Windows, Windows Intune, Windows Server, and lots more.

Scheduled for May 4, 2015, the so-called Unified Technology Event is specifically aimed at enterprises, Microsoft Corporate VP Steve Guggenheimer explains, and will not replace other events such as TechEd.

“To be clear, TechEd lives on. This event will be a part of TechEd, co locating with that event to ensure the world of IT gets optimal access to all of the resources in one place. You asked, we listened…We’re excited to announce the inaugural unified Microsoft commercial technology event the week of May 4, 2015,” Guggenheimer points out.

At the same time, the BUILD developer conference is also expected to live on, but no separate announcements have been made in this regard.

More information on the agenda of the upcoming event, but also details regarding the registration process will be provided at a later time, as it’s clearly a bit too early to discuss about an event that will take place 285 days from now.
