Redmond continues its struggle to show that Surface tablets are better than iPads

If you’re in the market looking for a new tablet, make sure that you’re not asking Microsoft for an opinion because the Redmond guys would clearly do anything to convince you that their Surface is the best tablet on Earth.

The same thing happened to a 12-year-old who was looking to get a new slate, but her father posted a Twitter message asking for Microsoft and Samsung to highlight the key features of their tablets.

“Recently we had a father tweet us a presentation that his 12 year old daughter created describing why she should get an iPad mini. He challenged both Surface and Samsung to take turns in a rebuttal, we gladly accepted the challenge,” the Surface team recently blogged.

Of course, since the Surface team posted a blog about this, you could easily see where this is going. The girl picked a Surface tablet instead of any other similar device on the market, including an iPad mini that was apparently her number one choice before stepping in the Microsoft store.

As you probably know by now, Microsoft is also working on its very own iPad mini rival, with people close to the matter suggesting that a Surface Mini with an 8-inch display is very likely to launch sometime this year.
