Microsoft continues to support charities across the world, not only with funds to back their activities, but also with software and technology that allow them to upgrade their networks.

This time, the tech giant has donated $2 million (€1.5 million) worth of software and licenses to Children’s Home Society, as the organization lacked the funds for a major upgrade of its network infrastructure, office apps, and communication tools.

“I can’t thank Microsoft enough. This grant equips CHS with cutting-edge technology for our staff, students, and clients so we can better communicate with outside entities and better serve our children,” Nathan Headley, the organization's systems manager, was quoted as saying by ArgusLeader.

Children’s Home Society’s main role is to serve abused and neglected children, with statistics showing that the organization helped more than 2,000 kids in South Dakota and neighboring states in 2012.
