He says he’s now moving to the Pro version of the device

Microsoft fanboys living in New Zealand can get a Surface RT sooner than everybody else, as Nigel Parker, leader of Microsoft New Zealand's Developer & Platform Group, is now selling his own tablet on Trade Me.

While this can easily be considered an embarrassing moment, Nigel Parker says he’s only selling his tablet because he’s making the move to the Surface Pro, so the RT version doesn’t make much sense now.

“Anyone keen can buy one of my Surface RT devices on Trade Me,” Parker tweeted. “I have been really happy with the unit and I am only selling it because I have recently upgraded to the Surface Pro (also purchased and shipped from the US),” he added on the auction page.

The Surface RT will officially go on sale in New Zealand on March 15, so in case you can’t wait for the tablet any longer, this is the right moment to get yourself a nice gift.
