It’s a well-known fact that Microsoft founder Bill Gates is the world’s richest person, but a new report now claims that he’s also the richest self-made billionaire with a fortune totaling $86 billion.

This means that Bill Gates is richer than Warren Buffett, who is the runner-up with $70.1 billion, but also than Amancio Ortega with $65 billion.

As India Today writes, American entrepreneurs take 14 places in the first 25, with their combined wealth reaching $514.2 billion.

In case you’re wondering how Bill Gates is doing, Microsoft’s co-founder is still busy with his charity work worldwide, but as far as the technology empire he founded is concerned, there’s still a lot of work to be done there.

Bill Gates returned in a more active role at Microsoft when Satya Nadella was appointed the new CEO and replaced Steve Ballmer at the helm of the company, serving since then as a technical adviser and responsible for the new products released by the firm.

Depending on how much Microsoft needs him, Bill Gates promised an even more active position sometimes in the future, but obviously, he needs to complete his charity mission and cure a number of diseases, such as polio, before this has at least the slightest chance to happen.

Here are the 10 wealthiest persons in the world, according to the Wealth-X report:
