14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft keeps trying to bring more devs on board, so the company has launched a new challenge specifically aimed to help them optimize their websites.
The “11% for IE11” campaign calls for developers to boost page load performance by at least 11 percent and get several goodies from Microsoft, including 11 copies of Parallels Desktop, 11 subscriptions to BrowserStack, and 11 pizzas.
“Use the new F12 Developer Tools in Internet Explorer 11 help you profile and performance test your webpage. Then show us the results. You can also use any performance tools on the Web that you want – the new performance scanning tools on modern.IE or webpagetest.org or PageSpeed Insights to help,” the company explained.
Internet Explorer 11 is part of Windows 8.1, but Microsoft also plans to make it available for Windows 7 users as an optional download sometime this year.
