If you’re in the market for a Microsoft tablet, but the Surface Pro 3 is too expensive for your budget, here’s something really exciting.

Redmond has launched a $100 (€73) discount for the Windows RT-powered Surface 2, most likely in an attempt to appeal to more buyers as part of its back-to-school promos.

The 32 GB Surface 2 now costs $349 (€270), down from $449 (€350), while 64 GB model can be yours for only $449 (€350), a $100 (€73) drop from the original price of $549. The 4G LTE model is also available with a price cut, so you can have it for just $579 (€450).

The Surface 2 comes with a 10.6-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The device is available with either 32 GB or 64 GB of storage space, but more is available in the cloud via OneDrive.

In addition, the device also offers Wi-Fi, a USB 3.0 port, two video cameras on the front and back (3.5 and 5.0 megapixels, respectively), two microphones, and a battery which can go for a maximum of 15 days in idle mode, according to Microsoft’s own stats.

Of course, the above promo is only there for a limited time, so you might want to hurry up a little bit to purchase the tablet at this special price.
