Microsoft has started a new marketing blitz now that Windows 8.1 is available for download, with the new campaign comprising several clips supposed to showcase the real features of the new operating system.

A new video rolled out today and entitled “My Windows 8.1” brings not only the new OS in the spotlight, but also its capabilities of running on multiple form factors, including small tablets and large wall-mounted screens.

Windows 8.1 comes with several improvements in this regard, as Microsoft wanted the updated operating system to work on 7- and 8-inch tablets too, regardless of whether consumers plan to use the devices in portrait or landscape mode.

Word is that Microsoft is planning its own 8-inch tablet, so tweaking Windows 8.1 to work on such devices was a prerequisite to make the upcoming unit a successful product.
