Yesterday, Microsoft launched new affordable Windows Phone models, and together with these two, the company also introduced a new Comfort Headset that can be used not only with its devices but also with those running iOS and Android.

As Microsoft notes on its website, the Comfort Headset is “designed to match the form of the ear for a more comfortable fit,” and this is really important for the overall music listening experience because “a well-placed earpiece speaker maximizes sound quality by directing music deeper in the ear.”

The new headset is available in three color options, namely orange, white, and black, and also come with a built-in microphone and a dedicated button to answer calls on your device.

“The earpieces direct sound deeper in the ear for minimum sound loss. Ergonomic design and a perfectly placed earpiece speaker create a super-comfortable, high-quality listening experience,” the company says.

Microsoft claims that the Comfort Headset has a weight of only 12 grams, and since it comes with a 3.5 mm connector, it can be used with pretty much every single phone or tablet out there, including iPhones and Android devices.

Pricing is not available right now, but more details will probably be provided very soon, when the new Lumias go on sale across the world. Obviously, the company says that this headset works best with Windows Phone devices, but in reality, it does the same thing on any phone or tablet with a 3.5 mm connector.
