It’s all about Windows 8.1 these days, as Microsoft will officially introduce its new operating system on Friday.

Redmond has recently published a brand new TV commercial on its official YouTube channel, this time advertising the Bing Smart Search service integrated into the operating system.

The new search option offered to Windows 8.1 users is capable of looking for content not only offline, but also online, helping you get links, photos, or location details, such as weather conditions, straight in the Modern UI.

Microsoft calls 8.1 “the new Windows,” thus hinting that it has very high expectations from the first update that’s supposed to boost Windows 8 sales and help its market share take off.

Windows 8.1 will be offered as a free update for Windows 8 users, with the update to be delivered via the integrated Store, just like all the other Modern apps.
