As I’ve told you earlier today, Microsoft officially launched Skype for Outlook.com in more countries, thus allowing users of its email service to talk to their contacts straight from their browsers.

To celebrate the launch of the new service, Microsoft is also rolling out a contest that gives consumers the chance to make a video call with Gail Simmons, food expert and author.

“As a busy professional who is always on the go, Gail understands the importance of keeping in touch with friends and family. We partnered with her to announce a contest where consumers can submit a recipe for a chance to make a video call with Gail via Skype for Outlook.com,” Microsoft said.

“For every entry Outlook.com will donate $10 to Common Threads, a charity that promotes healthy eating with kids--and if the entry comes from an Outlook.com account, we'll donate $20!”

At the same time, Microsoft also confirmed that Skype for Outlook.com would be soon released in some new countries, as the service is currently available only in the United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, France, Canada, and the United States.
