Microsoft will officially launch Windows 8.1 Preview on June 26 at the BUILD developer conference, so the company is now trying to pave the way for the new OS with several new Metro apps.

Specifically designed to work on Windows 8, both VEVO and edjing are here to provide you with some exclusive content, as well as with a completely optimized for the touch GUI that makes everything a lot easier.

Windows 8.1, on the other hand, will also pack some new Metro apps, including an alarm utility and Movie Moment, which is a Metro-based video editor that allows users to add simple effects to their clips.

“The excitement is continuing to grow and our entire team is excited to spend some time with developers from around the world next week in San Francisco at Build. Whether you will be able to join us live or follow along remotely, we’re excited to share even more exciting news next week!” Steve Guggenheimer here, chief evangelist for Windows, explained.
