Microsoft has already announced several important discounts for the Surface RT, but it appears like the company is looking into ways to continue its special promos around the world.

According to ITWire, the software maker is also getting ready to announce a “heavily subsidized” Surface RT for the Australian market, as it tries to bring the device into schools across the country.

While pricing is yet to be unveiled, it turns out that Microsoft is also trying to clear out stocks of the Surface RT ahead of the public launch of the second-generation tablet expected sometime this year.

At the same time, the company is hoping to see sales of the tablet growing before the launch of the new model, especially because the initial uptake has until now disappointed in both the US and the rest of the world.
