Microsoft used this month’s Patch Tuesday rollout to release a new firmware version for Surface 2 tablets, resolving a number of critical issues that have until now affected the overall experience with the device.

According to Microsoft’s Surface 2 update history page, the new firmware update comes with improvements for the Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter (v14.62.28058.10171) by addressing some Bluetooth audio related issues and bugs related to Bluetooth keyboard and mouse unavailability when waking Surface.

At the same time, the new firmware version comprises improvements for the Marvell AVASTAR 350N Wireless Network Controller (v14.62.28058.10171) that resolve wireless network connectivity issues.

Just like all the other firmware updates released for the Surface tablets, the new version is being shipped to users right now via the integrated Windows Update, but make sure you fully charge your device before initializing the installation process.
