One of the main drawbacks of Windows 8 was represented by the big number of significant changes it brought to the market, with both users and analysts pointing to the confusion created among adopters as one of the main reasons for its poor early uptake.

Microsoft has apparently learned from its own mistakes and is now trying to fight confusion with new Windows 8.1 video tutorials supposed to show the basics of the new operating system.

A new series of clips launched today introduces key Windows 8.1 features, such as Microsoft accounts, the Start screen, touch gestures, charms, SkyDrive, and personalization settings.

Of course, Microsoft also uses this occasion to talk big about Windows 8.1, explaining that both beginners and experienced users should spend only a few minutes to discover the benefits of the new OS and get familiar with it.
