14 DAY TRIAL // The Independent is one of the latest publications attracted by the new Windows 8 platform, as the British publisher has joined forces with Microsoft to bring fresh news in the Bing News app.
According to a report by The Drum, The Independent is the sixth major UK media company that does this, as some other major publishers are already available in Bing News, including The Times, Guardian, and Sky News.
As you most likely know if you’re a Windows 8 adopter, the Bing News app provides instant access to news in a long list of categories straight from the Metro UI, while also offering a completely optimized for the touch experience.
The Independent will publish its entire newspaper in the app, including the opinion section comprising editorials, the aforementioned source noted.
