Microsoft announced back in July that it was merging some of its most popular tech conferences, namely TechEd, Microsoft Management Summit, SharePoint, Lync and Exchange, so the company has now started asking partners to select the name they want for the new event.

ZDNet is reporting that the new conference will take place in Chicago and is scheduled to open its doors to attendees on May 4, 2015, but its official name is yet to be decided.

At this point, here are Microsoft’s options according to the same source:

“If you've attended TechEd or Microsoft Management Summit, this is the place for you to be. It's everything you've come to know and love and more. You'll find what you're familiar with and you'll learn more about Lync, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Project, SharePoint, SQL Server, System Center, Visio, Visual Studio, Windows, Windows Intune, Windows Server and lots more,” Microsoft announced in July, while also noting that BUILD and WPC would still be separate events.

More information on this new conference will be announced next month, as the software giant is yet to make a decision on the name and other minor details.
