The British arm of tech giant Microsoft is trying to be as environmentally-friendly as possible, so the company’s car fleet will be gradually replaced with 100 percent electric vehicles.

Two Nissan LEAFs joined the fleet this week, as the company has already tested five different electric models before eventually choosing the one built by the Japanese automaker.

The Reading headquarters already holds two different 32 amp quick chargers for staff members owning electric cars, with many more expected to be installed in the next years.

“As you can imagine at a software company, when we announced the vehicle trial list we were overwhelmed with staff interest in an advanced piece of technology like the Nissan Leaf,” Microsoft UK's car benefits manager, Katie Colledge-Price, said after the two Nissan LEAFs were shipped to the British Microsoft subsidiary.
