Microsoft has recently launched the Surface tablet in China, offering buyers a one-year warranty for both the main parts and for the whole unit.

But as far as the China National Radio is concerned, Microsoft should change its policy as soon as possible, as local regulations require companies to offer a one-year warranty for the whole device and two years for the main parts.

According to Bloomberg, the company has refused to issue a comment on this topic but, given the fact that Microsoft is betting big on the Chinese market, the software giant might change its warranty policy anytime soon.

In the meantime, Microsoft is working to bring the Surface tablets in more countries around the world, with China currently selling both the RT and the Pro version. The United Kingdom, Germany, and France are also in the pipeline to start selling the Surface Pro.
