Microsoft is one of the companies that are trying to make the most of Indians' appetite for technology, so today it launched a fresh news portal specially designed for this particular country.

As WPCentral is reporting, the India News Center comes with high-quality content that includes not only news regarding Microsoft's products for the local market, but also an app of the week section highlighting the best Windows apps in the store, Twitter posts made by @MicrosoftIndia, as well as a video gallery with commercials, stories, demos, and interviews, and keynotes of Indian officials.

Last but not least, the news center is being used to share the latest news on Microsoft published by local media, just like it's happening right now with the other versions of the portal available in English and a few more popular languages across the world.

The Indian news portal is already online right now, but only a few stores are actually available, with more to come as Microsoft is working to share more content with Indian users.

India is one of the fastest growing countries in terms of technology adoption and Microsoft knows this very well, so the company seems really keen on attracting more consumers in the country and continuing local investments.
