Microsoft has rolled out a new firmware update for the Surface Pro as part of the Patch Tuesday cycle, thus providing buyers with several improvements for their tablets.

For example, Surface Pro users should notice enhanced system stability and reliability after deploying the new firmware, Microsoft claims on its Update History page.

At the same time, the new firmware reduces power consumption, so improved battery life is also expected to be provided thanks to this update.

Last but not least, Microsoft has tried to improve touch latency with the touchpad on the Surface Type Cover and Touch Cover, so all users are recommended to deploy it as soon as possible.

Just like previous firmware updates, this new one is automatically delivered to Surface Pros via the Windows Update feature, so no action is needed if the device is connected to the Internet.
