Microsoft has just rolled out a small update for the OneDrive client aimed at Windows 8.1 users, adding a few performance and stability fixes supposed to lead to a better experience on both PCs and tablets.

The company hasn’t published a changelog for the new version in the Windows Store, and the reason is most likely the small number of improvements that are part of this release.

The new build most likely comes with bug fixes as well, so in case you’ve found some bugs that are ruining your experience when trying to upload files to your cloud storage account, make sure that you update as soon as possible.

The feature lineup of the app remains unchanged, so you get the same touch-optimized UI with options to upload files with a few taps. You can view and share files, photos, and documents straight from the main screen on both desktops and tablets.

“With OneDrive for Windows 8, your files in the cloud are just a touch away. You can easily view, upload, and share your files in OneDrive and even access your OneDrive files across Windows 8 apps,” Microsoft says.

This update should obviously be installed by all those who use the service on a regular basis, so go ahead and download OneDrive for Windows 8.1 right now to resolve any bugs that might exist.
