Microsoft today released a new version of the Mail, Calendar, and People app for Windows 8.1, thus implementing a new series of improvements for those who have already made the move to the company’s new operating system.

At this point, the company hasn’t yet released a changelog to let us know what’s new in this version, so the application most likely comes with bug fixes and performance improvements that contribute to an overall more stable experience offered to users.

As you know, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps are most often pre-installed on all Windows 8.1 versions out there, but there are some SKUs that do require users to manually get them from the store. In this case, updates aren’t automatically delivered to your computer, so your only option is to get them manually after you finish setting up the operating system.

“Mail, Calendar, and People are powerful tools for keeping up-to-date on your email, managing your schedule, and staying in touch with people. Designed for both work and home, these apps help you communicate quickly and focus on what’s important across all your accounts,” Microsoft says in the description of the apps published in the store.

Overall, this update clearly comes in handy to all Windows 8.1 users, so go ahead and download Mail, Calendar, and People right now to see what’s new.
