14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has recently renamed Office Web Apps to Office Online, in an attempt to reduce confusion and make the productivity suite easier to use in the browser, but it turns out that the company has also launched a dedicated Metro app that lets users create documents right in the Modern UI.
The so-called Word Online application offers support for both Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, which means that users who purchased a Surface RT tablet can install it as well.
