A new flavor of Microsoft’s Calendar Checking Tool for Outlook is now available for download, namely version 1.1.

This is a command-line program meant to check Outlook Calendars for problems, but it requires the calendar to reside on a Microsoft Exchange Server.

With this tool, an Outlook profile is opened, along with the Outlook Calendar, so that permissions, free/busy publishing, and auto booking are checked for issues.

The tool also verifies each item in the calendar folder to find any problems that might cause items to seem to be missing or that might otherwise cause problems in the Calendar.

This utility was designed to work with all flavors of Outlook starting with Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and is compatible with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, 2007 and 2010. Details on how to take advantage of this tool can be found on Microsoft’s website.
