Microsoft has just announced that it granted $150,000 (€113,000) to support the “Fuel the Ambition” campaign, as part of the Give for Youth program started with GlobalGiving Foundation.

The company is willing to match any donation the foundation receives, it said in a press statement.

“Fuel the Ambition challenges individuals to donate to eligible projects such as Junior Achievement of New England, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, the American Foundation for Children with AIDS and more. Matching is applied at 50 percent for every $1 (€0.75) up to $2,000 (€1500) per donor per microproject,” it said.

The three organizations securing the most unique donors will receive special prizes from Microsoft, the company revealed. The grand prize is a $10,000 (€7500) donation, while the second and the third places will be rewarded with $5,000 (€3750) and $2,500 (€1900) respectively.
