We've already told you that downgrading will be possible for users of the upcoming Windows 10 for phones preview, but Microsoft hasn't provided any details on this new option, as the company is still working to find a way to make it fast and easy for everyone.

In a tweet today, Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, explains that the company is developing a recovery solution that will allow users to easily roll back all phones that are updated to Windows 10 for phones preview and thus make sure that they get back to an operating system that's entirely stable and reliable.

This application is really important for users who upgrade and aren't entirely satisfied with the new Windows 10 for phones preview or find bugs that make their devices unusable. In this case, downgrading would be mandatory to keep using a certain phone, so Microsoft is working to make it possible through a dedicated tool.

At this point, there are no other details available on how this new solution is going to work, but it's definitely a good thing that users would be allowed to downgrade in case they don't like the new operating system.

This way, the new insider program would also attract more testers, as more people can now give it a shot and come back to their previous OS, without the risk of bricking their devices.
