Microsoft goes on with the development process of Windows 8.1 Update 1, so the company has recently provided partners with a fresh build that allows them to try out the operating system before it goes live.

WZor writes that the new version of Windows 8.1 Update 1 comes with the 9600.17025.WINBLUE_GDR.140214-1706 build string and is delivered in both 32- and 64-bit MSU files that can be installed on an up-to-date Windows 8.1 computer.

At the same time, it turns out that the two updates are named KB2919442-1 and KB2932046 and are very likely to be leaked to the web in just a few days.

As for the public release of Windows 8.1 Update 1, it’s expected to take place in April when Microsoft officially discontinues Windows XP and to share more info on Windows 9 at the BUILD 2014 developer conference.
