Google Chrome remains one of the most popular browsers out there and even though users are strongly recommended to download the stable build, many are actually running the beta version.

That’s why it’s very important to know that Google has just released a new beta build to address not only some bugs and issues, but also to improve the performance of the browser on Windows 8.

The switch to Windows 8 mode behavior has been improved in this new beta version, so you shouldn’t experience any issues with this particular feature anymore.

The new release is labeled as 28.0.1500.44 for Windows, Mac, and Chrome Frame, and 28.0.1500.45 for Linux, so make sure you install it in case you’re not running the stable build.
