Deciding that Opera 12 was taking too long, the Opera team decided to release something in between, a mixtape if you will, before the big new album.

That's how Opera 11.60, codenamed Tunny, was born. It's now in the beta stage and a final release is coming soon.

The latest snapshot release of the upcoming Opera 11.60 comes with a few fixes and tweaks. The Featherweight theme has gotten some trimming and some issues with the email client have been fixed.

But the reason the team put out this release was to test the brand new Ragnarök HTML5 parser. Opera needs more feedback from users before it's confident enough to release Opera 11.60 and Ragnarök to everyone.

"Keep an eye out for about any NSL (Never Stops Loading) issues compared to 11.5x, or pages that load differently or don't load at all when using Ragnarök," Opera asks.
