Opera just came out with a new snapshot (build 1234) for the upcoming stable version 11.61. Although the new release is not too different from the previous one, it does take care of a few bugs that undermined overall stability of the browser.

The change set shows that problems with caching invalid UserJS source files or crashing on applying 3025 background images have been eliminated. Also repaired is the Opera Turbo tooltip, which pops up repeatedly, an action which could actually draw users away from the browser.

Other fixes refer to downgrading a website’s security level to “Unsecure” in the case of a secure iframe with URL to image.

Also, some users saw the web browser crash upon shutting it down. The changelog informs that the problem has been taken care of in this snapshot.

The current snapshot is a development build of Opera browser. Using it may lead to unexpected, unpleasant situations.
