The development for Opera 12 is more intense than ever, with snapshots released almost on a daily basis this week. Today they rolled out a new development build that focuses mostly on out-of-process plug-ins fixes on Windows.

Build 1440 does away with issues on Windows, such as freezing of the browser after resizing the player on YouTube, crashing of Flash plug-in when visiting some websites as well as a browser crash that occurred when loading some pages with Silverlight.

Work has also been put into eliminating crashes that manifested when visiting some popular websites. Additionally, on Mac, the PS3 page should no longer display just the plug-in, while on Linux/FreeBSD an IME crash has been removed.

There is no official date for launching Opera 12 stable, but the rapid release of development snapshots makes it clear that we won’t have to wait much longer.
