Opera “Tunny”, the beta before the release of version 12.00 stable, brings to the table a very much improved email client. Actually, the email client is the component of the current build receiving most attention this time.

There is a new design, better suited for wide screens and productivity features, such as message grouping or mail pinning. You can group received items by date or read or pinned status. Pinning is mapped in IMAP as “Starred” folder so you benefit from synchronization across all email clients. Looks have been reworked and the interface sports simplified toolbars and redesigned icons.

UPDATE: Another build of Opera "Tunny", 11.60.1144 has just been released, which sports an updated Presto and fixes some crash issues.

Before installing Opera “”Tunny”, remember that it will default to upgrading the stable version of Opera. The recommended action is to proceed with the stand-alone, USB installation in order to have the two versions working independently.
