Designer creates concept of a new Lumia model

Microsoft will launch several new Windows Phone models this year, including flagships running Windows 10, but the company isn't yet ready to bring out something entirely new that would innovate when it comes to display or camera.

And yet, designers across the world seem to have a little bit more imagination, so it's no surprise that they create pretty exciting concepts envisioning some of the devices that Microsoft could launch at some point in the future.

This is the case of the so-called Nokia Lumia 1, a Windows Phone device imagined by DeviantArt user alfatuma and which comes with a rotating camera.

This isn't the first time we hear about rotating cameras on a Windows Phone, but today's concept comes with a rear unit placed at the bottom of the device that can rotate together with the physical buttons of the phone.

This is indeed a pretty good idea that certainly looks great and revolutionary, and while it could be really difficult to use when taking photos, it could come in very handy when shooting videos.

Obviously, do not expect such a device to be launched anytime soon by Microsoft, but it's at least an idea that the company could have a look at when thinking about innovations for its Windows Phone platform in the next few years. There are plenty of great concepts out there, so Microsoft would really do itself a favor to check them out.
