A new version for Notepad++ is now available for download, containing fixes and an enhanced license that should protect the application from being bundled with all sorts of programs.

Notepad++ 6.1.1 repairs select All-copy-paste on the same document crash bug while document map has been activated. It also fixes a regression about auto-completion feature and focus on document map problem after being launched.

The new, enhanced license is available on this page. It is designed to deter Notepad++ from being packaged and distributed with other software, especially adware and spyware. The developer alerts users that Notepad++ license is always GPL.

This modification comes as a result of the fact that that in some cases Notepad++ would be repacked and distributed with toolbars in order to promote third-party services.
