Microsoft continues its efforts to promote the Surface tablets around the world, so the company has managed to score another important win in the United Kingdom.
The British West Suffolk College has announced that it’s making the switch to Surface RT, as it’s regarded as one of the best tablets on the market, especially because it’s fitted with the Office productivity suite. And it’s even better than the iPad, it seems.
“I had the option of having an iPad or Surface RT. And because a lot of my work is management and data, from my point of view the iPad wasn’t suitable. All my documents are in Word, Excel or PowerPoint. The Surface tablet, though, has been fantastic,” Angela Bingham, Admissions and Customer service manager, said, according to a press statement.
The United Kingdom too will soon get the Surface Pro, as Microsoft has decided to launch the tablet running the full version of Windows 8 in Europe as well. The launch will take place in late May.
