A new version of the official OpenVPN application is now available for download for Windows users, bringing plenty of improvements and bug fixes supposed to provide enhanced performance.

According to the official release notes, the new build fixes problem with UDP tunneling due to mishandled pktinfo structures, as well as NULL-pointer crash in route_list_add_vpn_gateway().

In addition, it now provides more accurate warning messages, while the settings of user scripts have been moved into the set_user_script function.

As a result, expect OpenVPN to establish connections a bit faster, while unexpected crashes should not happen anymore.

Just as expected, OpenVPN 2.3.2-I001 continues to work on all Windows versions still supported by Microsoft, so you can install the new version on Windows PX, Vista, 7, and 8. Both 32- and 64-bit releases are supported.
