More bug fixing, Dragonfly, Web Workers and DOM related crashes eliminated

That Opera 11.60 is very close to a release candidate is no secret. The development team announced a new snapshot for this beta version, incrementing it to build 1180.

The project is "still not quite ready for a Release Candidate", as the team mentions on their blog, as bugs continue to be fixed. However, if you take a gander in the “About” page of the browser you’ll notice that this snapshot has already been stamped with RC label; I put my trust in Haavard’s lines, though.

Snapshot 1180 of Opera 11.60 mends the trouble with Flash video playing in the foreground even after closing or switching tabs.

Other drastic issues repaired include a crash caused by mouse gestures and a crash with Dragonfly (cross platform debugging environment) and Web Workers (an API for running scripts in the background independently of any user interface scripts).
