Opera 12 is fresh out of the oven, but the Opera team is not taking a nap, already they're working on the first update to the major release. Aptly named Opera 12.01, it's now available for adventurous users that like to live on the bleeding edge, at least when it comes to browsers.

The first Opera 12.01 snapshot landed a week ago. The latest build focuses on crash fixes and other stability issues, to be expected with this kind of release.

HTML5 drag and drop, a new feature in Opera 12, is getting some polish as many of the fixes focus on this. Dragging stacked tabs no longer crashes the browser for example. PNG images retain their alpha channel.

The builds are meant for the Opera Next channel so you'll be able to install the snapshot alongside your current, stable Opera.
