Several issues fixed, getting very close to a stable release

Indeed, a new Opera 12 build just rolled out. It is not actually ready for the ”beta” label and that’s why it’s branded a release candidate beta (or a “maybeta,” as it is dubbed internally).

The current revision deals with fixing several issues that popped up on Mac systems, such as address field blinking while typing in or unsupported Apple Color Emoticon font, which is blocked at the moment.

General repairs refer to browser crashes when typing in the address bar or when dragging a local file onto a window.

Despite taking care of these issues, others, already known to the development team, still remain, like problems with dragging on Google Maps or crashing of the 64-bit Windows build when connecting to a POP account.

If no showstoppers occur, Opera may deliver a stable version of the browser in about two weeks.
