Opera Software rolled out today the first build for version 18 of their browser, which is currently in development channel; the full revision number is 18.0.1258.1, for both Windows and Mac platforms.

The change log presents a short list of new features, among them the ability to move a tab between different browser instances. Although plenty of users expected to see improvements in the page bookmarking, the developer revealed nothing new in this department.

The developer informs that this is just an initial release, which does not carry too many new features.

However, the current set of new features is not yet nailed to the floor and there is a good chance to see bookmark-related improvements and features by the time Opera 18 migrates to Next channel.

The glitches touching on theme installation have been eliminated and the feature is now enabled by default.

Also new is the update to a new engine version (Chromium 1612.2). These are only the highlights for the current build but plenty of bug fixes are also on the list.
