Opera 21 is now available for download for developers across the world, bringing quite a lot of improvements that are very likely to be part of the stable release prepared for the mid-2014.

In addition to many other improvements, the first build of Opera 21 also integrates the new Aura hardware-accelerated rendering system of the browser that’s supposed to speed up loading times and provide a smoother experience on computers powered by Microsoft’s operating system.

“This enables less-taxing UI animations and a general sleeker and more responsive feel to the whole UI,” Opera developers said in a short note today.

Keep in mind, however, that this is not a stable build of Opera and certain bugs could still be experienced, so if you don’t have the experience to fix issues you should still stick to Opera 19.
