Opera continues development for their browser on all fronts. Over the weekend they released a new snapshot for the beta version and launched a snapshot for Next build.

The latest alpha snapshot focuses on fixes for hardware acceleration, which included memory leaks and drawing artifacts present on systems equipped with Radeon X1300/X1550 Series graphics.

Extensive work has been done to improve stability and hardware acceleration on all supported platforms (Linux, Mac and Windows). One notable problem that got mended in this release was with displaying the plugins correctly when scrolling the window.

Build 1174 of Opera Next encompasses not only new fixes but also repairs available in the snapshot for Opera 11.60 Beta, codenamed "Tunny."
