Everyone is urged to move away from Windows XP as soon as possible, but since the transition to a newer operating system could be really troublesome for users, third-party solutions that could help ease the process are coming in very handy.

This is the case of a new program released by IObit that comes not only with a freeware license, but also provides support for Windows XP, 7, and 8.

Basically, the application was developed to transfer files, documents, browser bookmarks, settings, and app data from one computer to another, providing easy-to-use backup and recovery options.

“What's more, PCtransfer can quickly select and back up the third-party programs and settings. You can easy restore programs and data with one click and use them in the new system just as before,” the app description reads.

Of course, with Windows XP’s end of support quickly approaching, such an application might actually be really helpful, especially thanks to its intuitive interface and easy to use option. It comes with support for the majority of browsers on the market, including the very old Internet Explorer 6.

The application will soon be reviewed here on Softpedia, but in the meantime you can download PCtransfer Beta 1.0 and give it a try for yourself.
