Even though it’s not as popular as some other compression tools on the market, PowerArchiver remains a top choice for many computer users out there, especially thanks to its powerful feature package.

A new RC version that was released today brings lots of new options, including better PGP support, compatibility with 7-Zip spanned archives, Shell Extensions enhancements and “Registration Window” updates.

“For this 14.00.30 release, we concentrated on finishing up the development for PA 2013 14.00 final,” the developing team briefly stated.

Even though it’s just a release candidate version, the new build can still work on all Windows editions on the market, including the old XP, Vista, 7, and 8. What’s more, it can be installed on either 32- or 64-bit operating systems.
