Process Lasso received an update over the weekend, to version 6.6.0.30, which includes several repairs and plenty of modifications, designed to improve overall functionality of the program.

Of significant importance is the elimination of the issue that triggered Norton Internet Security's reaction when Process Lasso would check its processes.

Additional fixing refers to the “exit core engine too?” that popped up when the user interface restarted after changing the process elevation.

This revision includes improvements as far as the responsiveness of the GUI is concerned during unmitigated high loads. On the same note, the accuracy of the metrics showing PC responsiveness has increased.

Furthermore, the memory page priority is now reset when a persistent memory priority removed.

Together with the new stable release, the developer also launched a fresh beta build (6.6.0.33), which implements a new feature: reducing the CPU affinity by one random core during the ProBalance restraint.

All modifications for both the stable and beta builds are available on this page.

Process Lasso is available for download on this page. It can also be downloaded as a portable program.
